DAF (Dissolved Air Flotaton) Treatment at a Food Processing Plant
This is a video of a DAF (dissolved air flotation) treatment at a food processing plant. The wastewater comes in from an EQ (equalization tank) to the first tank in the picture where we add our BondClear 400S coagulant and pH adjustment using acid and caustic soda. The next tank is where we add our BondPoly 2541-90B flocculant to cause the small particles to come together and form larger particles to increase the chances of the dissolved air attaching to these larger particles. The next tank/box is the DAF and the first part of it shows the white water causing the solid particles to float. The end of the DAF box is where the solids are scraped off for disposal. The clear water at the end is the effluent that is sent to the POTW (city wastewater plant). Looking for more information about DAF (dissolved air flotation) treatment.
